J&K, Leh airports to remain shut till May 14 as India extends NOTAM | KNO

Srinagar, May 09 (KNO): Amid tensions between India and Pakistan, the authorities have extended closure of Srinagar, Jammu and Leh airports till May 14, officials said. A senior aviation officer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the NOTAM for closure of airports has been extended till May 14 in view of the prevailing situation. 24 airports were closed in some northern states, including Jammu and Kashmir after India launched Operation Sindoor to target terror camps in Pakistan in response to Pahalgam attack. The official said that following the extension of NOTAM for closure of airports in these states, Srinagar, Jammu and Leh airports will also remain closed till May 14. The closure of airports have affected regular and Hajj flight operations with Srinagar airport cancelling the Hajj flights for the third consecutive day today—(KNO)
